From Our July Meeting

Our July meeting attracted 10 members.

Some  of  the topic’s covered included:

  • A tip regarding ‘Teach your spell checker new words’  Thanks to Rob.
  • Jimu was interested in finding a way of producing and Avatar photo to add to his profile on a site he uses in support of his music.

Members gave an insight into and the use of - an open source app of ‘Libreoffice’ version 4 and iliumsoft.com/ewallet, another alternative for securing passwords

Peachpit Press put out a weekly excerpt from OS X Mountian Lion: Peachpit Learning Series by Lynn Beighley. If you are interested, google ‘Mac tip of the week’ each Monday for the latest.

The Nelson Mac Users Group (NMUG) is now known as Nelson Bays Mac User Group (NBMUG) The name change was necessary to reflect the area that our members are drawn from.

The meeting night of the Club has been changed from the 2nd Thursday of each month to that of the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

The venue is at the Richmond Public Library in the room know as 'Constance Barnicoat' room. Access on the night is from Queen Street. This venue is very comfortable and the facilities excellent. Please refer to www.nbmug.org.nz
